We are the proud owners of Honey by Wrights, a family owned and operated business based in Ettrick, Central Otago. Over the last 15 years, we have built our business from 180 hives to the thriving 1500 hive operation that we have today.
Our philosophy is to do everything ourselves – from raising our queen bees to extracting, creaming and bottling – we do it all. Our high standards make your high quality honey.
Our Honey
Our honey is produced in the Central Otago High Country Onslow area which is 2000 feet above sea level. This spectacular unspoiled landscape has natural grasslands and provides the perfect environment to grow high grade white clover. From this, we produce our natural honey – no blending, filtering or heat needed, its straight from the clover. In the winter we bring our hives down to the lower altitude and milder conditions on the banks of the mighty Clutha River.
